About Us Darwin Harbour Cruises operates the three-tier catamaran Charles Darwin, boasting a Sun Deck that’s perfect for watching the spectacular setting sun or enjoying the fresh sea breeze. We pride ourselves in showing our guests what true Territory hospitality is all about! About The Role The Cruise Supervisor supports the Cruise Director with day-to-day operations. They are responsible for ensuring guest welfare, comfort, and safety throughout the journey, while also overseeing team duties and providing leadership for team development. Additionally, they manage food and bar service, ensuring high standards of presentation and safe food practices, as well as maintaining stock and minimising wastage. This is a casual position, commencing May 2026. There are currenlty approximately 30 hours avaliable for the right person. We require the Cruise Supervisor to work across afternoons, evenings & weekends. We currently operate 4 days per week, with the number of cruises steadily increasing by one day each month, from March through June, ramping up to 7 days per week. From October through to the end of our season in December, cruises ramp down 1 day per month. Working in close collaboration with the kitchen & marine teams, responsibilities include: Supervision of staff ensuring they are following policies and procedures (uniform, presentation etc.) and achieving all of their employee entitlements (getting the relevant breaks etc.) The delivery of leadership & guidance to all crew to enable their professional motivation & growth Responsible for the food and beverage service of guests throughout the voyage Greeting and interacting with guests during the voyage and when boarding & departing Ensuring all safe food practices are followed (complying with all WHS standards) & adhering to NT RSA requirements Requirements The ideal candidate will be passionate and proud of the food and service they deliver and be willing to go above and beyond for our guests, crucial in achieving our goal of sharing special places and shaping lasting memories. You will be a team player with strong communication skills, a positive "can-do" attitude, and the flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Qualifications NT Responsible Service of Alcohol Refresher (essential) Food Safety Handling certificate (essential, or willing to obtain upon commencement) Provide First Aid / CPR (preferred) General Purpose Hand (advantageous) About You Previous experience in a similar hospitality/customer service role Previous sales experience will be deemed favourable Reliable, self-motivated and proactive, with great energy and the ability to multi-task Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong personal presentation skills A cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity to the welfare of others Able to carry out some lifting of supplies and materials daily and be able to move freely through a marine environment Must not be affected by sea sickness Have the necessary working entitlements to work in Australia, with a minimum 6-month commitment A pre-employment medical and National Police Check may be required as part of this recruitment process.
